FastMath ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application (FastMath).
We only collect data strictly necessary to provide and improve FastMath's core functionality:
Photos and Camera Images: When you capture or upload photos of worksheets, formulas, or math problems, these images are accessed solely to recognize text, equations, and provide step-by-step solutions.
Usage & Device Information: Anonymous technical data (such as app version, device model, operating system version, and crash logs) to diagnose performance issues and maintain stability.
In-App Purchase Information: Transaction tokens and subscription statuses handled securely via Apple’s In-App Purchase system. We do not store or process your payment card details.
To analyze math problems, separate individual questions, and generate step-by-step explanations, FastMath integrates with third-party Artificial Intelligence service providers.
Third-Party AI Provider: We use Google Gemini API (provided by Google LLC) for image analysis, optical character recognition (OCR), and mathematical reasoning.
Data Flow: When you scan or upload an image for problem solving, the selected photo and associated prompt text are securely transmitted through encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) to Google Gemini servers.
Ephemeral Processing: Photos and question data are processed ephemerally in real-time. FastMath does not permanently store, archive, or sell your submitted photos.
No AI Model Training: Your photos, scanned worksheets, and math queries are never used to train, retrain, or improve third-party AI models (including Google Gemini).
No Advertising / Tracking: Data sent to third-party AI endpoints is strictly restricted to generating your solution and is never shared with data brokers or used for targeted advertising.
Third-Party Terms: Data processing by Google Gemini is governed by Google’s Enterprise/API Privacy and Data Handling terms.
Explicit Consent: FastMath displays an in-app notice prior to sending any image data to Google Gemini. You must explicitly consent before data transmission occurs.
Revoking Access: You can revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time via your device settings (Settings > FastMath).
Math Scans: We do not retain your scanned images on external servers once processing is complete.
Local History: Your solved questions and saved history are stored locally on your device unless you choose to delete them or remove the application.
We implement strict administrative, technical, and physical security measures—including end-to-end encryption in transit—to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
FastMath does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take immediate corrective action.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory standards. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
